Ardent Dojo
An Ardent Dojo product

AI coding with guardrails.

vRails is the AI software-delivery platform we built our own products with, now available to other teams. Your developers work with AI coding agents at full speed, and every change still meets your standards for security, testing, architecture, documentation and audit.

At a glance

  • What: an AI-SDLC platform. Guardrails on AI-written code, your rules served to the agents, and a record of every change from ticket to release.
  • For: engineering teams from startups to the Fortune 500.
  • Two ways in: licensed on its own, or set up and run with Ardent's technology consulting.
  • Proven: every change to WealthWizard goes through vRails.
The problem

AI writes code faster than anyone can review it

AI coding agents are fast and tireless. They also skip the tests, forget the security rule, drift from the architecture and leave the documentation behind, quietly and at volume. Review alone does not scale with them.

Speed without standards

An agent will happily ship a change that passes its own tests and breaks your conventions. Nobody notices until production does.

Rules nobody reads

Policies live in wikis the agent has never seen. Each session starts from zero and relearns your system by trial and error.

No evidence

When an auditor or a customer asks what changed, who approved it and whether it was tested, the answer is a guess.

How it works

The rails go where the code goes

vRails sits in the developer's own workflow: in the AI agent's session, in every commit, and in the release pipeline. Nothing depends on someone remembering to check.

Agents know your rules

Knowledge servers give AI agents your written policies, your architecture, your past debugging sessions, your infrastructure and your codebase, before they write a line.

Every commit passes the gates

Security, test quality, architecture, documentation and data rules run on every commit. A failing gate stops the commit and says exactly what to fix.

People approve what matters

Configuration changes, deletions and database changes need a named person's approval. The gates cannot be skipped from the command line.

You can see the impact

A release train follows each change from ticket to production, with bounce-backs and flow measures, test management, bug capture and an audit trail.

In the box today

Built, running and used on our own code

28commit gates, from secrets and open endpoints to stale docs and dishonest tests
49written development policies the agents and the gates both read
6knowledge servers that brief AI agents on your system
15test-quality rules that keep a test suite telling the truth
Who it is for

The same rails at every size

Startups

Guardrails from the first commit, without hiring a platform team. Ship with AI agents and keep the codebase you will need when you grow.

Growing teams

New developers and new agents learn your rules on day one. Standards stay the same when the team doubles.

Enterprises

Approvals, role-based access that denies by default, policies by family and an audit trail for every change: the evidence regulators and customers ask for.

Two ways to get vRails

On its own, or with us

The product

License vRails and run it with your own team. You get the platform, the gates, the policy library and the agent knowledge servers.

With Ardent consulting

Our technology consulting team sets it up, writes your policies with you, tunes the gates to your codebase and trains your developers to work with AI agents inside them.

WealthWizard Day Trading, a product built under vRails

WealthWizard, Ardent Wealth Management's trading platform, is built under vRails. Every commit to it passes the same gates.
